Please book your flights to arrive at Rovaniemi Airport (RVN) at any time. Airport transfers are included on the first day of your tour. Your transfer will meet you on arrival and take you to your hotel. Check-in on Day 1 is at 4pm.

With a day of leisure in Rovaniemi, you’re free to explore the city’s charming attractions. If you’re feeling festive, visit the Santa Claus Village, where you can cross the Arctic Circle, meet Santa himself, and send postcards from the official Santa Claus Post Office. For a deeper dive into local culture and history, head to Arktikum, a museum and science centre offering fascinating insights into life in the Arctic. Stroll along the Kemijoki River, enjoying the tranquil wintry landscapes, or visit local artisan shops to discover unique Lappish crafts and souvenirs.

At approximately 4.15pm, meet your driver in the hotel lobby and take a transfer to the Arctic SnowHotel. You will be led on a tour through the intricately designed ice and snow structures, with a guide explaining the engineering marvels behind the hotel and showcasing its special features, such as the Snow Sauna. Perhaps pay a visit to the Ice Bar (surcharges apply) before being seated at the Ice Restaurant.

Seated at tables sculpted from ice, savour a meal of Lappish delicacies, with starters like a velvety forest mushroom soup. Choose from mains like roast elk, braised Arctic Ocean salmon, or vegetarian options, each complemented by seasonal sides. Conclude with a signature dessert, elegantly presented on an ice platter.

After a scenic private transfer from Rovaniemi, arrive at the serene Aurora Queen Resort in Saariselka, set in the Arctic wilderness. This family-owned retreat offers a stay in glass-ceiling aurora-view igloos designed for pure indulgence. Every detail of your igloo, from the plush double bed to the rain shower and underfloor heating, is crafted to ensure a luxuriously cosy experience.

Spend your day exploring the resort’s amenities and soaking in its enchanting ambiance. Stroll through the serene surroundings or simply relax with a hot drink while marvelling at the snow-covered landscapes through your panoramic windows. Spend your day at Aurora Queen Resort enjoying the serenity of the Lapland wilderness. Unwind in your glass-ceiling igloo, explore the resort’s surroundings or indulge in the thoughtful amenities, from a warm drink in the cosy lounge to a quiet moment by the fire.

As night falls, you’ll venture into the Arctic in search of the elusive Northern Lights, guided by expert locals who monitor weather and aurora forecasts. The small-group setting ensures an intimate experience as your guide shares insights about the auroras and the surrounding landscapes. Each stop along the journey offers a unique vantage point, with the possibility of witnessing the sky illuminated in dazzling colours.

Following a warming breakfast, set off on a journey into Lapland’s cultural heritage with a visit to an authentic reindeer farm. Meet a traditional reindeer herder, who will share captivating stories of their nomadic ancestors and the integral role these gentle animals have played in their lives. Spend time with the reindeer, observing their calm and shy nature, before following their lead on a sleigh ride through the Arctic forest.

Wrapped in warm thermal clothing, glide across the snow-covered landscape, taking in the serene wilderness. After your ride, enjoy a steaming hot beverage to thaw out and return to the resort.

Wave goodbye to your Arctic adventure after breakfast. A private transfer will take you from your Saariselka hotel to Ivalo Airport (IVL) for your onward journey.

Checkout on your final day is at 12pm. Please book your flights to depart from Ivalo Airport (IVL) at any time. Airport transfers are included on the last day of your tour. Your transfer will meet you at your hotel and take you to the airport.
