Working with a Brisbane travel agent
Do travel agents charge fees in Australia?
It depends on the agent. We don’t charge a planning or booking fee for the trips we specialise in — the Maldives, Lapland, cruises and guided tours — because we hold direct contracts and are paid by the properties and operators we book. You get a real, current quote up front, with no separate service charge bolted on.
Is it worth using a travel agent for international travel?
For a simple domestic hop, often not. For a Maldives water-villa stay with seaplane timings, or a Lapland winter with aurora logistics, a specialist who has direct contracts and has planned the route many times saves you money, time and the risk of getting the connections wrong. You also have one named person to call if something changes mid-trip.
Can you help with complex, multi-country itineraries?
Yes — that is much of what we do. Multi-island Maldives trips, Lapland routes that string several towns and properties together, and cruise-plus-land combinations are all planned as one journey, with the flights, transfers and the nights either side arranged around the parts you actually came for.
Do you only work with clients in Brisbane?
No. We are based in Wishart, Brisbane, and we serve travellers right across Australia. We are enquiry-led rather than a walk-in shopfront, so almost everything is handled by email and phone — where you live doesn’t change the service.
What happens if something goes wrong during my trip?
You have one contact, not a call-centre queue. Because Rahul plans the trip and holds the direct relationships with the resorts and operators, if a flight moves or a plan needs changing, there is a person who already knows your itinerary and can act on it.
Can you help with a honeymoon or a special-occasion trip?
Yes. Honeymoons, milestone anniversaries and big-birthday trips are among the most common reasons people come to us — usually for the Maldives or a Lapland winter. Tell us what you’re marking and we’ll build it around that, including which resort actually suits the two of you.
