Why I put families in the city centre
I put families in the city centre because everything starts and ends at your door: the husky, aurora and icebreaker pickups collect you a short walk away, the bus to Santa Claus Village goes from round the corner, and there are supermarkets, the market and more restaurants than you’ll get through. When we stayed there ourselves we never once thought about food, transport or what to do with the kids — it was all outside the door, and you cook when you feel like it.

What it is
These are apartments rather than hotel rooms, and on a winter trip that difference does real work: a kitchen, a dishwasher and a washing machine of your own, in the middle of Rovaniemi with the shops and restaurants on foot.
There are three kinds — a studio, a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom. Sauna apartments: the one-bedroom and the two-bedroom. All three have a full kitchen.

How big are they?
