Why this deal

Most Lapland aurora trips make you choose between the cabin and the country — one glass-roofed night to remember, or a week of towns and transfers. This one is built as a ladder so you don’t have to guess. Three nights in the glass-roof Aurora Cabin is the constant; Helsinki, Tallinn, Rovaniemi, the sleeper train and the icebreaker are what you add as you climb. Open any tier below to see its full itinerary, day by day.

We won’t tell you the lights are guaranteed; nobody can. We’ll tell you exactly how many chances you get, where you sleep, and what each night costs — per person, in Australian dollars, land-only. That is not a guarantee — it is better than one, because it is a promise we can keep.

Where you sleep

The glass-roof Aurora Cabin

At Northern Lights Village in Saariselkä, a partial glass roof is pitched over the bed toward the northern sky, with a fireplace and a warm sitting area below. On a clear, active night the aurora can wake you where you lie — no expedition required. It is the core of all four tiers.

The glass-roof Aurora Cabin

In every tier

Six guided aurora activities

The aurora is a hunt, and a hunt is better guided. Six activities give you six different ways to be out under a dark sky at the right hour, each led by the resort’s own aurora guides and photographers.

  • Aurora Photography Workshop (1 hour) — set your camera for the dark and come home with the shot
  • Aurora Expedition on Snowshoes (2.5 hours) — trek beyond the resort lights to the open sky
  • Husky Safari (10 km) — glide through snow-covered forest behind your own team
  • Aurora Camp by the Lake (3 hours) — a campfire on a frozen lake while the sky comes alive
  • Snowmobile and Ice Fishing (4 hours) — ride out across the snow and drop a line through the ice
  • Aurora Hunting by Heated Sleigh (3 hours) — the warmest way to chase the lights

Honest about the lights

The best odds we can build — nothing for you to plan

Nobody can promise an aurora, and we won’t. What we can promise is the number of guided chances to catch one, at a high, dark latitude across the winter season — and that every part of the trip is already arranged. You arrive, and it is handled.

  • Winter season: 10 Sep – 10 Dec 2026 and 10 Jan – 28 Feb 2027
  • Blackout 11 December 2026 – 9 January 2027; travel resumes 10 January
  • On-site aurora experts and photographers
  • Mykish Travels concierge before, during and after your trip

Questions about this offer

Will we definitely see the Northern Lights?

No — and be wary of anyone who says otherwise. The aurora is a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed. What this trip gives you is the best odds we can build: nights under a glass roof at a high, dark latitude, plus six guided activities led by the resort’s own aurora guides.

How do the four tiers differ?

All four share the glass-roof cabin and the six aurora activities. Aurora Nights (3n) is that core. Aurora Explorer (5n) adds Helsinki and a day in Tallinn. Arctic Adventure (7n) adds Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village. Polar Odyssey (9n) adds the Santa Claus Express sleeper, the Polar Icebreaker and Snowman World. Open any tier above for its full day-by-day.

When can we travel?

Through the 2026–27 winter season: 10 September to 10 December 2026, and again 10 January to 28 February 2027. A blackout applies 11 December 2026 to 9 January 2027; travel resumes 10 January. You can book at any time up to the end of the travel window.

Are the prices per person or per couple?

Per person, twin-share, in Australian dollars. Solo is possible — single prices are $4,550 (Aurora Nights), $5,950 (Aurora Explorer), $10,302 (Arctic Adventure) and $13,553 (Polar Odyssey).

What is not included?

International flights to Helsinki, the flight Helsinki–Lapland (on request), travel insurance, personal expenses, and meals not listed. Prices are land-only so the largest single cost stays visible rather than buried.

What if none of these four quite fit?

Then we build the one that does. A custom Lapland trip — your towns, your nights, your pace, the properties you want — is what this agency does best; it is the heart of what we do, not a consolation prize. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll design it around you, with the same honest pricing and no planning left to you.
