The honest fit
Iru Veli runs on one meal plan — the top one. Premium All-Inclusive is the only basis sold here, which means everything from premium spirits to the spa-or-dive credit, three included excursions and a jetski credit is already built into every stay: nobody on the island is tier-shopping, and the value question is settled before you arrive. If a lighter bed-and-breakfast style stay is more your speed, other islands in our portfolio are built exactly for that — this one is for settling in and using the island hard. It’s a genuinely family-friendly resort — Turtle Kids’ Club, two-bedroom residences up to 643 m² — that still holds space for couples, with the Fresh Water pool bar kept as its own adults-only zone. Every Mykish Maldives package includes your return transfers — always. Iru Veli is reached by a roughly 45-minute seaplane from Malé (seaplanes fly in daylight only, 06:00–16:00), with a domestic-flight-plus-speedboat routing used for guests arriving or departing outside the seaplane window. We confirm the exact transfer basis on your quote when you enquire, and we time your connecting flights so you don’t lose a night in Malé. Seaplane baggage allowance is 20kg checked plus 5kg hand luggage per person; excess is charged directly by the operator — a third-party operator charge, not a Mykish fee.

Is Iru Veli good for a family with young kids?
Yes — Turtle Kids Club accepts children aged 3 to 11.99 years, and the Two Bedroom Beach Residence and Two Bedroom Ocean Residence (both sleep up to 6) are purpose-built for families needing two separate bedrooms. It is not an adults-only resort, though the Fresh Water pool bar is an adults-only zone.
Can we stay in an overwater villa with children?
It's possible but not the resort's recommendation: the rate contract states water villas 'are not recommended for young children' and the resort may only accept an overwater booking with young kids on the parent's full consent and responsibility.
