Why I recommend it
Kuredu suits travellers who want genuine Maldives scale without the price tag of a boutique private island — nearly 400 villas across three distinct zones means a family can book the all-ages Main Area while honeymooning friends book the 15+ Sangu retreat on the same island. The house reef is the real headline: Kuredu’s own reef page calls it “very impressive with an abundance of marine life,” and Prodivers runs a full 5-star PADI centre with a hyperbaric chamber on-site.
Best for
The honest fit
Kuredu is best understood as three resorts sharing one 57-hectare island — a 1.8-kilometre stretch of Lhaviyani Atoll with the all-ages Main Area, the 12-plus ‘O’ side and the 18-plus Sangu end, each with its own restaurant, pools and bars (Sangu adds a glass wine cellar of up to 250 labels). That three-in-one design is the point: families, groups and couples each find their register on the same island, with a six-hole pitch-and-putt golf course, the Prodivers 5-star PADI centre with its own hyperbaric chamber, and a house reef the resort’s own reef page calls easily accessible and abundant. Villas are honest, well-priced footprints — mostly 54–78 m², with the 287 m² Private Pool Villas as the step-up — so the spend goes into the island’s sheer range of things to do. If you want one single consistent mood, a boutique ultra-luxury villa, or a headline manta or whale-shark season, we’ll gladly point you to the resorts in our portfolio built around exactly those.

Time on the island
Duniye Spa operates from two locations on the island. Recreation spans golf, paddle tennis, glass paddle tennis, watersports (flyboarding, jet ski, kayaking, catamaran sailing, waterskiing) and excursions including a Dream Island sandbank trip and fishing.
A complete 5-star PADI training centre with guided dive and snorkelling boat trips — and its own on-site hyperbaric chamber, a rarity in the atolls.
A driving range, putting green and six-hole pitch-and-putt course, with a Golf Bar for the post-round debrief.
Parasailing, water skiing, wakeboarding, banana rides, catamarans, kayaks and speedboat excursions, with rental and instruction.
Two spa locations — one at the centre of the island, one at the ‘O’ end — with Asian massage techniques and chemical-free organic products.
Indoor and outdoor play areas, toys and games for children aged 3–12, next to the entertainment centre.
A weekly program of bodu-beru cultural dance, Maldives culture and history presentations, DJ disco, live music, themed parties and movie nights.
The dive centre runs more than sixty sites across Lhaviyani Atoll, with courses from first dive upward.
Kuredu keeps a resident turtle population on its own reef — one of the few places you can reasonably expect them without a boat.
Seasonal manta trips out of the atoll. Never guaranteed.
Six holes and a driving range — the first golf course in the Maldives, and still a genuine oddity.
Courts on the island for both.
The powered and unpowered ends of the watersports centre.
Dinner on the sand rather than in a restaurant.

Planning your trip
Return transfers are included in every Mykish package. We confirm the transfer basis on your quote.
Kuredu sits in Lhaviyani Atoll, the only resort on its 57-hectare island. Transfer options and timing are covered in the Australian traveller guide above.
From Australia, Kuredu connects via the major Malé gateways. Once in Malé, guests choose between a ~40-minute seaplane transfer or a 35-minute domestic flight to Madivaru Airport followed by a speedboat leg.
Consultant tip
Consultant tip: because Kuredu runs three age-zoned areas (Main/O 12+/Sangu 15+), multi-generation Australian families travelling together should tell us up front who’s staying where.
Your consultant
As a direct-contract partner, Mykish books Kuredu at rates the public can’t access online, with on-ground support if anything needs sorting during the stay, and seasonal free upgrades when available — never guaranteed, always confirmed at the time of booking.

Questions
Fly into Malé via one of the major gateways, then choose either a 40-minute seaplane transfer or a 35-minute domestic flight to Madivaru Airport followed by a speedboat leg.
Yes — the Main Area welcomes all ages, with Max's Mermaids & Pirates Kids' Club (ages 3-12) and family-sized villas including a Two Bedroom Beach Villa and Private Pool Villa Family Suite.
Kuredu is split into three areas: the Main Area (all ages), 'O' (12+), and Sangu (15+, the most exclusive zone with its own restaurant, bar and wine cellar).
Every Mykish Maldives package includes your return transfers. The standard inclusion is the domestic option — a 35-minute scheduled flight to Madivaru Airport followed by a speedboat to the island — while the iconic 40-minute seaplane is normally an upgrade. We confirm the exact transfer basis on your quote when you enquire.
Garden Bungalow is the only category sold on Bed & Breakfast; other categories are on at least a Full Board basis by default, with All-Inclusive Plus and a premium All-Inclusive Gold package available as upgrades.
Yes — Kuredu's own house-reef page describes it as easily accessible from the jetty, with abundant marine life. Prodivers operates a 5-star PADI training centre on-site with a hyperbaric chamber.
No advance visa is required. The Maldives grants a free 30-day tourist visa on arrival to all nationalities, including Australians, provided you hold a passport valid for 6+ months beyond your stay, proof of onward or return travel, confirmed accommodation, and sufficient funds for your visit. We hold a direct contract, so we can get better rates than the public price, on-ground support if anything needs sorting during the stay, and seasonal upgrades when available.
